How To: Get a Facebook Fan Page ID
Posted by admin on Jan 4, 2011 in Facebook, How To's | 23 comments****UPDATE****
Thanks to one of the commenters tzuming for the tip of even easier way to get a fan page ID.
First of all check, if your fanpage does not have any country or age restrictions, otherwise finding an ID could get MUCH more difficult. You can allways edit your fan page to no restrictions for few minutes and check the ID in this time.
Example: http://www.facebook.com/TheBigBangTheory
The only thing to do is to change “www” for “graph”, looks like this: http://graph.facebook.com/TheBigBangTheory and the ID is a first rmation:
__________________________
Alternatively, use the page http://findmyfacebookid.com/ to type inyour fanpage URL and receive an ID (still, no age and country restrictions!)

App ID, Fan page ID, so many of them!
Why exactly do you need a Facebook Fanpage ID? You know those funny boxes, correctly known as “like box” – one of Facebook’s social plugins.
What you need is:
1. URL of a fan page
2. wait, that’s it!
Now click on a fan page you want to embed on your page (I show you an example of The Big Bang Theory fan page, just because Sheldon deserves it
):
With a cursor of your mouse, go over the profile picture of the fan page and click with a right mouse click:
Select a possibility “Open link in a new tab” or simply copy the link of a profile picture (for Mozilla):

From the URL of this page, copy everything behind “id”:
Surprise, you just became a happy owner of a fan page’s IDyou have it! ID for our example fan page is: 22934684677. And now, when you need to implement a like box to your page, it also works! A hint: next step is to add the fan page ID either to your WordPress Plugin, in case your site uses WP, or any other CMS
Good luck and let me know if it worked out well, or in case you found out a faster way to do it. Thank you

is there a way to get fb user id in a fanpage made from iframe and graph api? thanks.
Now you can find Facebook Page ID or User ID Online http://bit.ly/yfP8QJ
Well that didn’t work, please update your info as this is wrong, all I get is:
pa.124025554319963 – That isn’t right.
It’s not wrong. I just did it, worked perfectly.
Great info. Worked perfectly. Thanks so much for sharing
just replace the www with ‘graph’ eg http://www.faceboook.com/fanpagename to graph.facebook.com/fangpagenamea and you’ll get the info, don’t have to do all this stuff.
Well done! Thank you very much for the tip
it works fine
thank u very much
Thanks so much. That worked nicely for me.
Very cool @tzuming, I like it, thank you
Easiest way -> Copy your fan page URL. For example (mine), http://www.facebook.com/pages/Amanda-LYBL/265795713454469
The last digits after the page name and slash is your fan id. So, mine is 265795713454469!!!
iam geting this erro, please help..i use the id,the url,is not woking..this is my page so you have an idea.http://www.facebook.com/pages/En-Noticias/184148334991573
Could not retrieve id for the specified page. Please verify correct href was passed in.
Hi, try this URL: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=184157558323984&set=a.184157554990651.48143.184148334991573&type=3&theater (set of numbers behind fbid= is your ID). But there is a very good idea from @tzuming of typing graph.facebook.com/yourfanpagename to retrieve the info that way! I wrote this guide before the open graph came, so appreciate new hints, guys! Btw in your case the URL would look like this: http://graph.facebook.com/pages/En-Noticias/184148334991573?sk=info . Your fanpage I184148334991573. Good luck!
The set of numbers behind ‘fbid=’ is actually the photo’s id and not the page’s. The graph.facebook.com/pages/ method is not working for me either
Have you tried to check the country or age restrictions? If those are on, the graph api does not send any information, unfortunately. Maybe try to set the restrictions to none for some minutes and then try the graph.facebook.com/fanpagename again. Hope it works out!
I’m trying to generate the HTML code using FB’s Like Box developer page but get the “Could not retrieve id for the specified page. Please verify correct href was passed in” error message, so suspect I don’t have the syntax of the URL correct.
The URL shown on the relevant FB info page is “http://facebook.com/fryedmusic” and I followed your instructions to get the ID – thanks for that! – which shows as “522939327″. So what is the URL I pit into the Like Box URL field to generate the HTML code correctly?
Thanks in advance for any help.
woww man you rock nice info you can also get facebook fan count with
http://api.facebook.com/restserver.php?method=facebook.fql.query&query=SELECT%20fan_count%20FROM%20page%20WHERE%20page_id=146639682015121
